I graduated from my Bachelors degree in Nursing in 2000 and started working as a nurse in a medical ICU in India between Dec 2000-2004. I also taught for a year from 2004-2005 as a clinical instructor for the BSN program in India prior to moving to the United Stated in 2005. I worked in an intermediate medicine unit as a RN at Virginia Commonwealth University hospital until 2009 when I graduated from ACNP program at University of Virginia. I have since worked as a nurse practitioner (NP) in cardiology working in both inpatient, procedural and outpatient cardiology services. I went on to complete my PhD in 2018 from University of Virginia. As a NP, I was instrumental in designing and implementing inpatient Cardiology /Electrophysiology APP service (March 2010), inpatient APP consult service (November 2015), inpatient APP CCU service (November 2016), valve inpatient APP service (2018), inpatient APP ACS service (2021) with currently being the manager for all the inpatient APP services, Procedural APPs and Heart Failure APP services since March 2024. I also work in an Electrophysiology clinic in collaboration with an Electrophysiologist since 2014.
I am the recipient of the Huskey Research Exhibition Award, University of Virginia in 2016, Patient experience awards in 2021, 2023, 2024 and APP excellence in Leadership award in 2023 at UVA.
I had the privilege to serve as the APP council President in UVA from Jan through Dec 2023, Co-Chair for the planning committee for the UVA Advance Practice Conference APOGEE 2024 and currently serving as the chair for APOGEE 2025.
I have presented in regional, national and international conferences. My research interests are management of arrhythmias and complementary & alternative therapies.

Dr. Jackson is an assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health at the University of Virginia. He received his MD from UVA, and remained there for his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious diseases. His clinical practice focuses on HIV medicine and general infectious diseases. He studies HIV virology in the Myles H. Thaler Center for AIDS and Human Retrovirus Research. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has helped to coordinate the use of COVID-19 therapeutics at UVA and he is the site principal investigator for the Adaptive COVID-19 Treatment Trial.

Dr. Andrew Whitman is a clinical pharmacist in oncology and palliative care at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, VA. He completed a combined Doctor of Pharmacy degree and Certificate of Aging Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Whitman completed his postgraduate training at the University of Virginia Health System in oncology pharmacy followed by a year as a palliative care specialist at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. His main research interests include deprescribing in older cancer patients and innovative approaches to supportive care.
