Mary is an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies, teaching courses in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Mary has spoken locally and nationally on a variety of acute care topics, and is a guest lecturer in the NP program at University of Virginia. She is a past member of the Advisory Committee to the Joint Boards of Nursing and Medicine in Virginia. I currently work in the Cardiology Prevention Clinic and manage patients with hypertension, dyslipidemia, and type 2 diabetes mellitus in addition to a variety of other cardiovascular problems (coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure).

Todd began his nursing career in 2000. His first RN positions were in the Coronary and Coronary Medical ICUs and the Emergency Department at VCU Health. Todd started as an NP in 2003 and joined the division of Trauma Surgery and established the Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role in 2006. Todd has managed and supervised the APP clinical operations of the Acute Care Surgery Service (ACSS) to develop and maintain strong clinical performance and outcomes that support the practice of high quality, evidenced-based, consistent and effective trauma and acute care surgery and advanced nursing care. He is also a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and is the current President Elect of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, Carolinas/Virginias chapter. As a current Senior Advanced Practice Provider with ACSS, Todd continues to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, house staff, nurses and all ancillary staff to work towards achieving the best outcomes for all patients.
