Ripal Patel, PA-S
I'm Ripal Patel, a Physician Assistant student from Marywood University. I grew up in India and moved with my family when I was 18. After a struggle of being a new immigrant, I overcame my English language barrier and was able to go back to school here. I always wanted to work in health care becoming a pharmacist, but due to financial need, ended up working as a Registered Medical Assistant with some schooling in the USA. After 6 years of patient interactions, made me realize that I wanted to be someone who could treat patients beyond MA. With the help of my family and scholarships offered by Marywood University, I was able to apply for a physician assistant program. In my spare time, I love enjoying time with my husband and son. I love listening to music, which is very therapeutic in stressful times. I enjoy traveling to different places and my home country. I am sure that if I can overcome the struggle of PA school, anyone who can.
